Google Apps for Education

Google has a wide range of tools that are used in education.  The list includes Drive, Gmail, Sites, Calendar, Chrome, Maps, Calendar, and Google+.  Google Apps for Education is a free suite of these tools that districts can use for collaboration and communication.  The new Google Classroom is currently only available to Google Apps for Education users.
